Sri Lanka is facing an extremely challenging time. The state of bankruptcy has produced a critical situation engulfed with many deficiencies, including power, food, fuel, medicine, education, malnutrition, etc. Such extraordinarily challenging situations need innovative thinking as we do not have established models to follow. Innovation is also at stake because of the brain drain and ongoing corruption. Dr Lal is proposing a status of a developed economy under the above title of the plant-based economy.
