Easter Sunday typically embodies sentiments of joy, peace, and compassion. Regrettably, April 21st, 2019, marked a tragic turn for Sri Lanka, earning the ominous moniker of "Black Sunday." On this fateful day, numerous churches and hotels were targeted by bombings, resulting in the loss of over 260 lives. As we commemorate the fifth anniversary of this sorrowful event, we now understand that these heinous acts were orchestrated to sow seeds of division and discord among communities. However, in such adversity, we stand resolute and unwavering in our commitment to foster unity and solidarity. We refuse to allow the fabric of our nation to be torn apart by the callous ambitions of those who value their own comfort over the sanctity of human life and the prosperity of our homeland.
